The Opportunity:

BC Food & Beverage (BCFB) Board of Directors is calling for interested applicants for available Director seats which will become open commencing June 25, 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to volunteer your time and expertise to support the continuing evolution of our Board, the Association we govern, and the industry which we rely on to support the Food & Beverage Industry in British Columbia!

Here’s Who We Are:

BC Food & Beverage was born in 2004 to provide a collective voice for one of the largest industries in our province – food & beverage manufacturing. BCFB has grown and evolved over the years, just like our members both large and small. Today, we represent food & beverage manufacturers throughout BC who collectively contribute nearly $9 billion in revenue each year, with a vision to ensure a thriving, world class food and beverage manufacturing industry for British Columbia. The BCFB Board is particularly seeking applications from candidates with a strong finance/accounting acumen to help fuel sustainable growth for the Association.

Here’s Who You Are:

• An Owner/CEO/Executive or senior leader at a BCFB member company.
• A strategic thinker who thrives in a mutually collaborative and supportive environment.
• Strong financial background; ideally a Controller, CFO or senior leader with strong Profit & Loss (P&L) accountability.
• Understanding of nonprofit board governance.
• Highly developed written, verbal communication and inter-personal skills.
• Superior attention to detail and discretion.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize effectively.
• Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical abilities.
• You share our passion for food & beverage!

Responsibilities:

• Attend and participate in all Board related meetings and events to the best of your ability.
• Participation in monthly Finance Committee meetings.
• Contribute through your active and informed participation at meetings and by delivering on your commitments.
• Provide input into the strategic plan and monitor the organization’s progress towards achieving established goals.
