Aaron Chin, CEO of Organika Health Products, was announced as the Leadership Award recipient at the BCFB Awards earlier this month.

Aaron stepped into his leadership role at Organika with a team-player mentality and the mission to make a difference. Placing innovation at the forefront, he has shifted how consumers perceive wellness.

“Aaron tapped into the potential of wellness for all by encompassing the community at large and dedicating himself to the mission of helping people live healthier,” says the person who nominated Aaron for the award, “Under Aaron’s direction, Organika has broken out into 7,000 stores across the world, overcome global supply chains, listed in the Financial Times and Globe and Mail as one of the fastest-growing companies, won the Best in Asia Pacific Business Award, became certified as a ‘Diverse, Equal and Inclusive’, and continually racks up innovation and “best of” awards. As Aaron looks at it, this is just the beginning and sees potential for even more growth to come.”

Aaron also saw the value that DISC profiling could bring to the organization. Each employee does a shared evaluation that indicates the components that allow them to thrive in a team environment and excel. As a result, there is synergistic and cross-functional work between all departments at Organika.

“Very humbling and a great honor. The BC food and beverage industry is one I admire and love so much, and to be recognized on this scale is extremely humbling and motivating for me to push even more to be a better leader,” says Aaron Chin.
